Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is the name of several different cemeteries. The name is inspired by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, which is believed by many Christians to be built on the site of Jesus's (empty) tomb. The association with Jesus's death and resurrection is an appropriate and comforting theme for Christian cemeteries, where Christians contemplate their own mortality.
