Holy Rood Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic Church located on King Street in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, England, United Kingdom. Elton John's lyric writing partner and longtime friend, Bernie Taupin regularly attended there with his family since they are Catholic and he was an altar server like his brother Tony. Taupin also had married his ex-wife, Maxine Fiebelman, who had inspired him and John to do the song Tiny Dancer, which is off of John's 1972 album, Madman Across The Water. John was even the best man for Taupin's wedding. However, since he hadn't gotten around to having his name legally changed by that time, he had to sign the church registry with his birth name of Reginald Dwight.
