Holmskioldia is a genus of plants in the family Verbenaceae.

The genus name is derived from Theodor Holmskiøld (ca. 1731-1793), a Danish nobleman of Swedish descent. He wrote "Beata ruris otia fungis Danicis", published in 1799.[1]
