Hollywood was a short-lived "mining patch" settlement that ultimately wound up within the boundaries of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, United States.
In 1880, before the name "Hollywood" had ever been used for the later-famous part of Los Angeles, the Pennsylvania Hollywood was the birthplace of Sarah Knauss.
