The Holly Blue (Celastrina argiolus)[1], is a butterfly that belongs to the Lycaenids or Blues family and is native to Eurasia. In India, it is known as the Hill Hedge Blue [2].

The butterfly was earlier known as Lycaenopsis argiolus Woodmason[2].

It is found in Eurasia. In South Asia, it occurs from Chitral in Pakistan to Kumaon in India[2].
