Holland is a town in Bell County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,102 at the 2000 census. The center of population of Texas is located in Holland.[1] It is part of the KilleenTempleFort Hood Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Holland is located at 30°52′51″N, 97°24′16″W (30.880710, -97.404408)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.6 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,102 people, 388 households, and 287 families residing in the town. The population density was 625.0 people per square mile (241.8/km²). There were 432 housing units at an average density of 245.0/sq mi (94.8/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 85.57% White, 5.35% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.54% Asian, 0.82% Pacific Islander, 4.81% from other races, and 2.81% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 20.24% of the population.

There were 388 households out of which 43.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.1% were married couples living together, 15.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.0% were non-families. 23.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.84 and the average family size was 3.38.

In the town the population was spread out with 35.6% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 19.3% from 45 to 64, and 9.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 29 years. For every 100 females there were 91.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.9 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $26,500, and the median income for a family was $31,250. Males had a median income of $25,114 versus $19,167 for females. The per capita income for the town was $11,360. About 24.2% of families and 30.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 41.2% of those under age 18 and 29.6% of those age 65 or over.
