Holger Geschwindner

Holger Geschwindner (born September 12, 1945 in the West Germany) is a former basketball player, mentor, coach and friend of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki. Geschwindner first met Nowitzki when the future basketball star was 16 years old.

A native of Würzburg, Geschwindner is alleged to have learned basketball as a young boy from an American soldier stationed in Germany.
