My name is Brian. I'm interested in nearly everything and have participated in the project since May 2004. My primary interests are in the liberal arts, social sciences, and humanities, especially history, linguistics and languages, geography, philosophy, business law, psychology, theology, European civilization, and government/political science. I also read and contribute on taxonomy and zoology topics.

[edit] Who Am I?

•An Irish citizen and a believer in the necessity for peace and reconciliation between both communities.

•An atheist and skeptic of religion, but I remain interested in theology for its own sake.

•An avid traveler and adventurer, having visited each continent in the last two years. I also have a capable proficiency in eight European languages, as well as Egyptian Arabic and Japanese.

•A committed devotee to the idea of a healthy body and mind, I compete regularly in triathlons, club-rugby and water-polo.

•A current liberal arts student in Trinity College Dublin, having achieved a commerce degree from U.C.D and a masters in accountancy from Smurfit School of Business.

•Somewhat sympathetic to Fascism from an objective viewpoint, though I am open to arguments and ideas from all political persuasions.

•A stern and fervent believer in the need to eliminate all non-essential articles from Wikipedia. Articles on the merits of air guitar for example, and other trite and banal topics threaten the future of Wikipedia to evolve into a serious scholarly database.

•A published author, having contributed several works regarding the history of the Balkans to specialised historical and college journals.

•A believer in the legalisation of marijuana, not for medical purposes, but merely for use for its own sake as a drug. As it is considerably less dangerous and damaging than other commonly consumed drugs, such as caffeine, alcohol or nicotine.
