Hogeschool Rotterdam

The Hogeschool Rotterdam is a University of Professional Education (UPE) located in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It was created in 1988 by a large-scale merger of 19 higher education schools followed by a merger with the Hogeschool voor Economische Studies (HES). It holds class at eight locations in Rotterdam and one in neighbouring city Dordrecht. Currently its student population counts more than 25,000. The schools abbreviation is HR.

The Hogeschool Rotterdam is divided by clusters, so called institutes with each of them having its own director and management. Every course is managed by one of these institutes: Engineering, Commercial Management, Management, Laboratory Courses and Chemical Technology, Service Management, Teacher Program for Primary School, Teacher Program for High School and Professional Education, Media, Paramedics, the Rotterdam Business School.
