Hockey bag
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A hockey bag is a large duffel bag like carrying device used to transport hockey equipment. Simple versions may only have one compartment for carrying equipment while more expensive versions may have 5 or 6 compartments including compartments shaped to hold skates or other equipment. Hockey bags also come in various sizes to fit the needs of the player. They are usually designed to hold all of the equipment needed to play with the exception of the hockey stick(s). Common manufacturers of the Hockey bag are Easton, Nike Bauer, CCM, Reebok, Sher-Wood, etc.
Hockey bags are usually used by youth or recreational players and not by professionals because most professional club teams hire equipment managers to clean, repair, and transport the team's equipment. - all pro hockey teams utilize hockey bags to transport the hockey equipment. The only difference is - NHL / AHL and many other European Pro / Minor Pro teams have dedicated staff that handles the transport of that equipment from venue to venue.
However they absolutely pack each players equipment into a bag before moving it and loading it onto the team bus for transport.
