Hobson's choice (disambiguation)

A Hobson's choice is an apparently free choice in which there is only one real option. The expression comes from Thomas Hobson (1545-1631), who rented horses in Cambridge, England, mainly to the university students there. His customers were directed to take the horse by the door, or none at all.
