Accoarding to this page the cigar torpedoboat classes were named "1. klasse" and "2. klasse". These pages are also very usefull. They are very time consuming if you are looking for a specific piece of info, but I have found a lot for my articles on nb: and nn: . But anyway I think the cigar-boats are mentioned here as 1.klasse and 2. klasse as well. Inge 13:46, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

Tusen takk =). The torpedoboats of "1. klasse" ('first class', for our english speaking friends) was also known as cigars, but unlike the boats of 2. class, they had movable torpedotubes as opposed to fixed tubes in the bow. I'll probaly extend this page as I get time, as well as making a page for the "1. klasse" boats - unless someone beats me too it =) WegianWarrior 17:10, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
Nice to see someone with the same interests as me. Is the Lyn-class the same as either 1. klasse or 2.klasse?Inge 17:49, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
The Lyn class was considered 2. klasse torpedoboats - however it seems (from my talk to people working at the armed forces museum) that the divition into 1 and 2 class did not take hold until some time after the Lyn was launced. I guess one could say it was retroactivly classed as a 2. klasse boat (reason being that there was no 1. klasse boats until later, so no need to divide the classes).
