HNoMS Valkyrjen was a division's ship for the torpedo division of the Royal Norwegian Navy. It was built at F. Schichau shipyard in Elbing, Germany in 1896. The funds for the ship had been raised by the women of Norway and the ship was named Valkyrien in honour of them. She was also nicknamed The ladies warship (Damernes krigsskib). The ship made its first test trial on May 11, 1896 and was swiftly approved. The ship was completed in Horten, Norway and delivered to the minister of defence on May 17, 1896. The ship was last debarked on September 27, 1920 and sold in 1923.

HNoMS Valkyrjen had a displacement of 415 tons. Her dimensions were 59.4 x 7.4 x 2.6 meters and she had a top speed of 23.2 knots. She was manned by a crew of 59. Her armaments included two 76 mm and four 37 mm guns in addition to two above-water torpedo launchers.

HNoMS Valkyrien is the name of the present support ship for the Royal Norwegian Navy (KNM). For this ship, see HNoMS Valkyrien (A535).
