Description

Indian Ocean (April 4, 2006) - South Korean-flagged fishing vessel Dong Won (628), foreground, requested assistance via bridge-to-bridge communications, from coalition ships after it had been fired upon approximately 60 nautical miles off the Somalia coast. Combined Forces Maritime Component Commander (CFMCC), based in Bahrain, immediately directed the Dutch frigate w:HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën (F802) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) to respond as they conducted maritime security operations in the area. Provinciën and Roosevelt are assigned to Commander Task Force One Five Zero (CTF-150). U.S. Navy photo (RELEASED)
