HNLMS Van Ghent was an Admiralen class destroyer launched 13 October 1926 and commissioned 31 May 1928 as the HNLMS De Ruyter and renamed in 1935.
She was involved in the salvage of the USAT Liberty Glo
Van Ghent served in the Netherlands East Indies as part of Admiral Karel Doorman's command. She ran aground and was scuttled on 15 February 1942.
