re " George Dixon was a captain of a Queen Charlotte according to his article." -- It looks likely that George Dixon's 1784 vessel was a private merchantman called Queen Charlotte not an HMS Queen Charlotte. See Canadian DNB article: [1] mervyn 13:46, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
