hello i'm seach for information on the crew of HMS Ajax as my grandfather George Little served on her?

[edit] 22? - Ajax (22)

Just curious what the number 22 behind Ajax means? Ajax (22), if I search the page, it only occurs again in the displacement figure: 7.220.

Leander (1931) which caught may attention, referes via 1931 to the time it was built (finished?) and launched. But (22)? or (D-39)?

I am admittedly a know-nothing just happen to like the two numbers: 31 and 22 (or 4 for that matter!)

LeaNder de Cologne

(22) or (D-39) are pennant numbers; that page may help explain it. Shimgray 15:39, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
