HMS Meteor was a bomb vessel of the Royal Navy. She was previously a civilian vessel, the Sarah Ann. She was purchased in October 1803.
In 1807, under the command of James Collins, she was a member of a fleet sent against the Turks. She had the misfortune to burst her 13-inch mortar while forcing a passage through the Dardanelles, and her 10-inch mortar on the way back. In November 1808, still under Collins's command, she took part in an attack on the French at Rosas Bay in northeastern Spain.
