HMS Greyhound (1900)

HMS Greyhound was a Greyhound class destroyer of the Royal Navy [1]. A three funnelled destroyer of the "30-knotter" turtle-back type, she was ordered on 30 March 1899 from R. & L. Hawthorn, Leslie & Company and laid down as builder's number 377 at their shipyard at Hebburn-on-Tyne on 18 July 1899. She was launched on 6 October 1900 and completed in January 1902 at a total cost of £61,066. She served in home waters through the Great War and was sold to be broken up on 10 June 1919.
