HMS Firedrake (H79)

HMS Firedrake was an F class destroyer of the Royal Navy. She sank 2 U boats, in 1939 and 1940. Firedrake served as leader of Mid-Ocean Escort Force group B-7 from early 1942. Escort Group B-7 escorted convoys HX-186, ON-94, HX-192, ON-106, SC-91, ON-117, SC-103, ON-142, and HX-216[1] before Firedrake was torpedoed by U-211 while escorting convoy ON-153 on 17 December 1942.[2]
