HMS Empire Macdermott was a Royal Navy World War II escort carrier of the Merchantile Conversion class; it was converted from a grain ship. Built by William Denny and Brothers of Dumbarton, Scotland, it was acquired in 1942, launched on 24 January 1944 and commissioned on 31 March 1944.
