HMS Colchester

Six ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Colchester:
- The first Colchester, launched in 1654 and sunk in action in 1666.
- The second Colchester, launched in 1664, was a 8-gun ketch, captured in 1667 by the French in the West Indies.
- The third Colchester, launched in 1694, was a 48-gun fourth-rate frigate, foundered in Whitsand Bay in 1704.
- The fourth Colchester, launched in 1707, was a 54-gun fourth-rate frigate, broken up in 1742.
- The fifth Colchester, launched in 1744, was a 50-gun fourth-rate frigate, wrecked the same year off Kentish Knock.
- The sixth Colchester, launched in 1746, was a 50-gun fourth-rate frigate, broken up in 1773.
