HMS Andromeda was a ship of the Diadem-class of protected cruiser in the Royal Navy. She was built at Pembroke Dockyard and launched on January 5, 1898. In 1913 she was converted to a training ship and renamed Powerful II on September 23, 1913. She was later renamed Impregnable II in November 1919 and finally, HMS Defiance on January 20, 1931. She was sold and arrived at Burgt, in Belgium, for breaking up on August 14, 1956.
