Ship's badge, HMCS Avalon. The badge is currently in use by a Sea Cadet Summer Training Centre located in St. John's, Newfoundland. There seem to be two versions of this badge; the alternate substitutes blue for the black behind the sword. http://www.cadets.net/atl/avalon/images/avalon_lrg.jpg
