HMCS Regina (K234) was a Flower-class corvette that served in the Royal Canadian Navy.
Regina was sunk by the German submarine U-667 approximately 8 nautical miles (15 km) north of the coast of Cornwall on August 8, 1944 while recovering survivors of the American freighter Ezra Weston. The warship sank in 28 seconds and 30 crewmen were lost.
The wreck of HMCS Regina and the freighter rest in 60 metres of water. The exploration of the wrecks by a crew of researchers was the subject of an episode of the documentary series "Deep Sea Mysteries".[1]
