HMCS Margaret

HMCS Margaret Originally built as a customs cruiser, Margaret was taken over/commissioned as a patrol boat for the Royal Canadian Navy in 1914 and was used as an escort and patrol vessel in Atlantic coastal waters one of many ships to serve in World War I and World War II.

Morse's Tea and Coffee company produced a series of cards card No.35 was the H.M.C.S. Margaret, the series had 50 cards.
The ship was at Jetty 2 in the Halifax Harbour during the Halifax Explosion the H.M.C.S. Margaret Broke moorings, had minor damage, and two crew members were killed ashore.
