HMCS Magog (K673)

HMCS Magog (K673) was a River class frigate that served in the Royal Canadian Navy in 1944.
She was commissioned on May 7, 1944 and launched on September 22 of that year. The ship was torpedoed by German U-Boat U-1223 with less than one month of service on October 14, 1944 during the Battle of the St. Lawrence, whilst preparing to escort a merchant convoy in the St. Lawrence River.
Approximately 65 feet of the stern was destroyed. She was towed to Quebec City and declared a total loss.
