HMCS Charlottetown (FFH 339) is the tenth of the Halifax-class line of frigates. The Charlottetown is currently based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

On February 3, 2008, the HMCS Charlottetown was deployed to the Arabian Sea to rescue two Pakistani sailors who were stranded for three days after their tugboat, the Al Wabi, capsized while attempting to pull a barge, called the Azaan, when the tow line broke. Five crew members went down with the Al Wabi.

Charlottetown has been in the Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf since November 1, 2007 as a contribution to the American Operation Enduring Freedom and Canadian mission Operation Altair.[1]
