AWM Caption: The light cruiser HMAS Psyche in the harbour [Hong Kong]. She had been in the escort force for the capture of Samoa by New Zealand forces in August 1914 and later escorted the New Zealand ships of the first convoy to King George's Sound, Albany, WA, in October 1914. Psyche subsequently participated in naval operations in the Indian Ocean and off the Eastern Australian coast.
