Australian War Memorial catalogue number 301056. PORT MELBOURNE, VIC. 1940-02-01. AERIAL PORT SIDE VIEW OF THE FORMER ROYAL NAVY CONVOY SLOOP AND RAN SURVEY VESSEL HMAS MORESBY (I) (EX HMS SILVIO) DURING HER FIRST PERIOD OF WORLD WAR 2 SERVICE AS AN AUXILIARY ANTI SUBMARINE VESSEL (1939-1940). SHE IS ARMED WITH A 4 INCH GUN FORWARD AND DEPTH CHARGE RAILS AND THROWERS AFT. NOTE THE PROTECTIVE PLATING AROUND THE FORWARD SUPERSTRUCTURE. (NAVAL HISTORICAL COLLECTION)
