AWM Caption: PORT BOW VIEW OF THE FRIGATE HMAS LACHLAN POST WAR. SHE RETAINS HER TWO 4 INCH GUNS FORE AND AFT BUT NO CLOSE RANGE ARMAMENT IS FITTED, ALTHOUGH THERE IS AN EMPTY 20 MM OERLIKON SHIELD IN THE PORT BRIDGE WING. SHE HAS AN AERIAL FOR SC RADAR AT THE HEAD OF THE MAST AND ONE FOR SG HALFWAY UP. (NAVAL HISTORICAL COLLECTION)
