Three ships of the Royal Australian Navy have borne the name Stuart for John McDouall Stuart, explorer and surveyor:

  • The first HMAS Stuart (D-00/100) was a Scott class destroyer, launched in 1918.
  • The second HMAS Stuart (DE 48) was one of six River class destroyer escorts (based on the British Type 12 frigate) built for the RAN. It was launched in 1961.
  • The third HMAS Stuart (FFH 153) is an Anzac class frigate, launched in 1999.
