"Hljómalind" is a song by the Icelandic band Sigur Rós from their 2007 album Hvarf-Heim. It was released on heavyweight 7" vinyl as the album's first single (in Europe only) on October 29, 2007. The B-side of the single features a live acoustic version of the song "Starálfur". It has reached #91 on the UK Singles Chart.
The song, previously known by its working-title "Rokklagið" ("The Rock Song"), originally dates from 1999 but was not recorded until early in 2007.
Its name comes from a record store in Reykjavík called Hljómalind, which was run by kiddi, the band's then-manager. It is now an organic food cafe, named Kaffi Hljómalind.[1]
