[edit] Summary

A comparison of a scene rendered in high dynamic range to a scene rendered in low dynamic range using Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. This compares light reflection against the sand and water using the sun as a light source.

Fair use rationale (for both images):

  • They are being used for informational and/or educational purposes.
  • A visual example to explain an article for a computer graphic visual effect, a worded example without usage of everyday language may be confusing.
  • The image's inclusion here will not result in financial loss to the copyright holder.
  • Image is of a smaller resolution than the original.
