[edit] "Mahabharat" image
Hi there. I'm sorry but I did not quite understand what you were saying on my talk page. What I understood you to mean is that we should leave the 1988 "Mahabharat" image in the 2008 article as a placeholder until images from the new series are found. If that is what you meant, then I disagree. We don't need to have a "placeholder" in that article; it's perfectly fine to have no image until a good image can be found. Seeing that the 1988 "Mahabharat" series was produced by a different company and a different crew, there's really no connection to the new series except for the subject matter. So, we shouldn't have an image of one in the article about the other. Also, the reason why Rdmt319 moved the article wasn't because of image issues but rather because he/she was saying that the correct spelling of the series title is "Mahabharata" and not "Mahabharat." --Hnsampat (talk) 11:44, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- But, all that image does is prove that the 1988 series is spelled "Mahabharat." It doesn't say anything about the 2008 series. Just because the 1988 series was spelled without the "a" at the end doesn't mean the 2008 series will be spelled that way. The image doesn't prove anything about the 2008 series. If we want to prove that the 2008 series is spelled without the "a", we need to find another source. --Hnsampat (talk) 15:06, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Mahabharata (2008 TV series)
I understand that you were unhappy with the move from Mahabharat (2008 TV series) to Mahabharata (2008 TV series). Nevertheless, in such a case you should move it back, using the 'move' tab, and not copy and paste the content back to the original loaction while putting up the new one for deletion as so the edit history gets lost. In this case there isn't much edit history, but anyways the redirect does no harm, and might even be useful tp prevent that it is being moved there again by editors who suspect a misspelling. For further information see WP:MOVE and contact WP:RM for moves that you cannot do yourself. Best, --Tikiwont (talk) 12:17, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

- Well, think it over, there is no rush, also not for answering. I hardly understood your message. Actually I deleted the duplicate once, but another user created the redirect, so I restored the edit history. In any case your reasoning does not qualify for speedy deletion, so you should bring it to Redirects for discussion if you do not agree. But I would rather work on the article itself as it currently has no sources. Please also respect the three revert rule. --Tikiwont (talk) 12:33, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- I've seen some more pots, but things are not that complicated:
- a) There isn't much doubt that Mahabharat is the correct name.
- b) Still many people might think it is Mahabharata, one already did and we allow redirects from misspellings, so that the same error does not happen over and over again. And we like to keep edit histories, so just think of the redirect as archive. And in doubt we discuss at RfD.
- c) There is no need whatsoever for a wrong picture, to prove anything, but for sources on your two series. --Tikiwont (talk) 13:08, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- The redirect Mahabharata (2008 TV series), that you insisted on deleting, will actually keep people from moving the article there. So at this point the picture is not needed. Besides, all our articles should be based on reliable sources. And these sources would also verify the name. --Tikiwont (talk) 14:01, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Your posts are almost incomprehensible. Please take time to write. The current article doesn't even have a link to a website. How do you know that the show exits? How can I or anybody else verify that? Put that in the article and forget at least for one moment about the picture and the name. --Tikiwont (talk) 14:40, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sources are needed for all articles whoever created them. A forum is not a good source. We have been talking here mostly about Mahabharat (2008 TV series) and its move that you contested. So given your interest I assumed you don't want it to be deleted. I see in the edit history of Mahabharata (2008 TV series) that another editor was the initial creator, but this is another reason for not deleting the edit history. Actually, I will no do a full history merge for that article.--Tikiwont (talk) 15:11, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- No, i don't mean that you tell me something wrong, but that forums are in general are not considered reliable sources. So the two articles have different tags, pleas check them out. Anyway, I've now undone the move completely, so if anybody thinks there is a different title please discuss and use the move button. I'll withdraw here. --Tikiwont (talk) 15:30, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Chala Change ka Chakkar
Well, no offence, but your English isn't quite Wikipedia-ready.
I think this page should be deleted for two reasons. 1. The show appears to have had na extraordinarily short runtime, and 2. This is not relevent to those living outside of India. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Hindi the main Indian language? There is a Hindi Wikipedia, so this article should probably be placed there.
If you think this page should stay here, please let me know. This up to an administrator, anyway - not to me.
[edit] Needed help in closing article
Hello Hardik, this is Survir. Sorry, I apologise for replying to your message late cuz I was really busy. First of all, that is really great that you created your UserPage really nicely. Congrats on that! (This is just a suggestion! Your user page will be very long if you are going to add every single show (or whatever) you edit on Wikipedia. Yea! if the other users want to know about the work that you have contributed to wikipedia (which usually they don't) they can look it under "My Contribution" tab. Oh well, your user page looks nice now. Now, on the other hand, you said, Kaho Na Yaar Hai show was ending on STAR Plus, but they are planning to extend it, so all you can do is just "add" the word present in the last-aired column under the show rather than adding a specific ending date of the show. Another thing, you cannot actually stop other users from editing/adding more information into the articles. (This is wikipedia, which is free where everyone from child to adult are allowed to add/edit, no-matter who has started the article. Wikipedia is not a "forum" where you can close articles. The only thing I would suggest you to do is just visit regularly to wikipedia and undo the vandalism done by other users. Or you can place a lock sign on the article which gives the article some sort of protection. I haven't done that so far, but I believe that vandalizers can remove those signs from the articles as well. I hope this gives you little understanding, but if not I apologise. Always ask other users as well to get more info on wikipedia. Your wiki friend Survir (talk) 13:57, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Reply to Aap Ki Kachehri bit
actually, they do not need to know the different types of cases. This is just long, and on top of that, un-wiki, kind of like stating exactly what types of cases The Bill or Eastenders deal with --Maurice45 (talk) 16:14, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Mr Hkansagra- what does being Indian have to do with ANYTHING?! As well as being a racist remark, is it implying that only Indians can edit without discussing it with you? Just so you know mate- I am an Indo-Mauritian- my ancestors were Indian (actually my maternal grandmother was in fact Indian-born) and as well as Hindi and Bhojpuri I have rather a good understanding of Urdu- so please do not imply what you do not understand. Just think- I would be Indian today if not for the Indentured Labourer system- ever heard of it? when Indians were forcefully removed from India and taken to other countries?. Then again mate, I shouldn't have to discuss my ancestry to make edits that would benefit Wikipedia, nor should I have to be of a certain ethnic group to be allowed to edit something without asking permission first! THat is private, and not in accordance with the policy of Wikipedia. So, by saying that I must ask permission, and I see that someone has vandalised the page, are you saying that I have to ask for permission before I undo it? Basically, are you trying to say that because I'm Mauritian and, say, I've created a page on Mauritius, that I won't allow anyone else edit? OF COURSE THEY CAN EDIT! Please reply, I want a justified answer to this comment of yours about being Indian. I also noticed you overlooked my comment above, explaining EXACTLY WHY WE DO NOT NEED SUCH STUFF ON WIKIPEDIA, then you went on to attack the reason why I have chosen to remove such material. However, as you have noticed, no other page- be it Japanese, American, English, South African, French, Australian, etc.- have any such materials on pages about shows from their countries, and INDIAN SERIALS ARE NO EXCEPTION. Therefore, please do try and justify your reason as to WHY THEY SHOULD REMAIN. Therefore, by the remarks of they type you have made on my user talk page, my friend, it is YOU who is not abiding by Wikipedia policy! Thank you and good day --Maurice45 (talk) 12:26, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Game Show response
Hi Hkansagra,
I understood what you have said on my talk page about the game show, however, I must tell you, this seems to be against the policy of Wikipedia. However, as I am not sure, I'll leave it --Maurice45 (talk) 13:41, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Game Show
Hi,
Despite what you have stated on my talk page, especially about people who would like to participate in India, I must tell you- The phone lines, SMS, questions etc. are completely out-of-place on the English Wikipedia. Perhaps a move to the Hindi Wikipedia wouold be wiser? --Maurice45 (talk) 19:46, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please Read
[This page] backs what I have said about the phone numbers on the game show page. It is a complete list of What Wikipedia is not, including, and it is very explicit in one place, phone numbers

[edit] Just a suggestion!
Hello Hardik, it is really good to see your interest toward Indian television programming (especially good to see that a lot of Indians are keeping an interest in editing new information to wikipedia.) Yea, I just visted the page of 9X channel, and I have noticed that you have created a seperate page for the programmes of the channel, which is unnecessary. Yea there are seperate pages for Zee TV & STAR Plus because they have too many programmes, and the length of the page was too long, so that is why the users have created a seperate page for these major channels programmes, but for 9X channel there is only few programmes and the page length is okay. Besides that if all the channels would have similar format, it looks dull (check out any international channels, each have different format). I think it will be good for you to undo the 9X page to what it looked like before. Again this is just a suggestion, I hope you don't mind. Your wiki friend JasminSingh, 29 May 2008, 18:52 (UTC)
