The Hjemkomst Center is a museum located in Moorhead, Minnesota. The facility hosts a variety of exhibits and events.
The Hjemkomst Viking Ship, which is permanently housed in the center and was built by Robert Asp, sailed to Norway in 1982. The building also houses the Chamber of Commerce of Fargo-Moorhead and the Moorhead senior citizens center.
A stave church is located on the grounds of the Hjemkomst Center. This Norwegian-style church serves as a symbol of the Scandinavian heritage in the Red River Valley. The church is a full-scale replica of the Hopperstad stave church in Vik, Norway.
The Hjemkomst was built in the nearby town of Hawley, Minnesota, where there is a memorial in memory of Robert Asp.
