Illinois Resolution: HJ0125

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Illinois Resolution HJ0125 was drated by the Illinois General Assembly. This resolution seeks the impeachment of President George W. Bush.

[edit] Summary

The resolution claims that Bush has illegally spied on Americans, which is a felony, evidently violated the Geneva convention on torture, held American citizens as prisoners without charge or trial, manipulated intelligence and lied to Americans, and leaked classified secrets to further political agendas.

The resolution attempts to invoke Section 603 of Jefferson's Manual of the Rules of the United States House of Representatives. It is not known as to whether or not this will end up being nothing more than a footnote in American history or if it will actually compel the House to look into impeachment.
