From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hjörleifur Hródmarsson was the brother-in-law of Ingólfur Arnarson, the first settler of Iceland. He also helped to settle Iceland with his brother-in-law. He was murdered by his Irish slaves because he mistreated them. The story of the settling of Iceland is told in the manuscript, Landnáma.[1][2]
