[edit] Clarification of location

I changed the wording of the location of Hixson because the previous wording implied that Hixson is a separate municipality from Chattanooga.emw 16:05, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Suburb Clarification

A portion of Hixson is located within the city limits of Chattanooga but a large portion is not. Therefore, not all of Hixson is governed by the City Mayor or the City Council of Chattanooga. We answer to the County Mayor and the County Commission. This should be clarified in the article. I will work on it in the near future. Malson 18:20, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

That's true if you are defining Hixson as the area served by the Hixson post office (zip code 37343). (I don't know if there is any official designation of the boundaries of Hixson.) But I do know that my parents' mailing address is "Soddy-Daisy, TN," but they do not live in the city of Soddy-Daisy. All the Hixson schools were formerly in the city school system. --emw 18:34, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Agreed. Maybe it is best just to leave it ambiguous since there is no clear demarkation line other than where other cities start (e.g. Lakesite, Soddy Daisy, etc.) Malson 20:19, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
