Hixon, Staffordshire

Hixon is a village in the borough of Stafford, Staffordshire, England. It is about 8 km east of Stafford at grid reference SK003259.

Hixon was served by a railway station which was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway on May 1, 1849.

Hixon was formerly home to a Royal Air Force bomber base, RAF Hixon, which is now closed.

In 1968 eleven people were killed in the Hixon rail crash just outside the village.
