[edit] Licensing

This shrunken and cropped version is to illustrate a point made in an article about Francisco Franco, juxtaposed against a statement by U.S. president Richard Nixon that "General Franco was a loyal friend and ally of the United States. He earned worldwide respect for Spain through firmness and fairness."

[edit] I claim fair use on these grounds...

The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use as:

  1. it is a historically significant photo of a famous individual;
  2. it is of much lower resolution than the original (copies and blowups made from it will be of very inferior quality);
  3. the photo is only being used for informational purposes;
  4. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows the subject of this article and is the only way to provide documentation for a statement made in the article. [2]
