Hitra Wind Farm is a 24 turbine wind farm located in Hitra, Norway and operated by Statkraft. Total installed effect is 24 x 2.3 MW. Maximum generated effect is 55 MW and total generating capacity is on average 150 GWh per year. The farm was opened on October 14, 2004.[1] Until the expansion of Smøla Wind Farm in 2005, Hitra was the largest wind farm in the country and had total investments of NOK 450 million.
