"Hit Me with Your Best Shot" is a song written by Eddie Schwartz and recorded by Pat Benatar in 1979, that became a hit in 1980. It is the first single from her 1980 album Crimes of Passion, and it hit #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single also sold 1 million copies, reaching gold certification. The song is Pat Benatar's most recognizable song. It can be heard at many soccer games, and is featured on many of Pat Benatar's greatest hits compilations.
