[edit] Trimming
I've begun trimming some of the text, especially where there was a main article to refer to for additional info. However, the section on Ken Kesey and the Pranksters had nothing BUT a link to the article, so I provided some text from there. Rosencomet 19:38, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree with this trimming as this article was split to expand the topic, not limit it. I also notice that you removed the only criticism of the hippies from the articles, giving us a new NPOV issue to deal with. —Viriditas | Talk 17:46, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Festivals
I wouldn't say the festival movement started with the Acid Tests, though you could make a case that the Rave movement did. I would date the Festival movement from the Human Be-In.Rosencomet 20:02, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- That sounds right. —Viriditas | Talk 17:47, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the Acid Tests were earlier. Though it is a matter of opinion which were more relevant precedents.Apostle12 (talk) 17:37, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Even earlier were the Happenings, which should be added to this article; there are plenty of sources linking them with the hippies. —Viriditas | Talk 14:13, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] American folk music revival
Needs a new section on the relationship between hippies and the American folk music revival and the subsequent emergence of folk rock. —Viriditas | Talk 04:38, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
