[edit] GA comments

This article is very, very good (in my opinion) and incredibly well referenced. I will pass as a good article and suggest the following for FAC, this isn't far off...

  • WP:DASH is applied to seasons, so instead of 1984-85, use 1984–85.
  • Reduction in repetitive use of references, particularly ref [1] which could be used once per para. Same for [4], [5], [8], [11]. I realise that some people think that everything needs reference (I suffered the same fate in Adam Gilchrist, but it looks a bit silly to reference every sentence of a single para in the same way.
  • Use of "around" instead of c. - reads better.

[edit] Long sentence

"Tom Mather was appointed manager later in 1923 although Stoke were unable to mount another promotion challenge and were relegated from the Second Division four years later in the 1925–26 season." Could benefit from a break somewhere. J.Winklethorpe talk 22:22, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I've split to: "Tom Mather was appointed manager later in 1923 although Stoke were unable to mount another promotion challenge. They were instead relegated from the Second Division four years later in the 1925–26 season." Dave101talk  15:27, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
