I've created this article by moving the original history section from the Sioux Falls article to this one. Events that possibly deserve mention but are not currently here include the "divorce capital" thing from the 19th century, Queen Bee mill, Senator Pettigrew, 1900 Populist Party convention, John Dillinger robbery, the powderhouse explosion, the arrival of Citibank and the Morrell's strike(s?).
