I applaud the work (thanks basil!) and second the call for more references... Mobile has a very rich (and proud) history, and I am sure that with just a little bit of work we could turn this into an A-class article. /Blaxthos 22:16, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

The section on the Clotilda and Africatown is inaccurate, among others. I have added invisible notes to explain. We need references for most of the content in this article and some work on a NPOV.Altairisfar 08:48, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edits

Removed some inaccurate material without sources; added new material with sources; added some relevant photos, removed three that were irrelevant or tangential to the article at hand; included material on segregation and desegregation; added numerous wikilinks. Plan to continue getting article into better shape over the next week. Altairisfartalk 19:10, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
