Inline references would be nice. Thegreatdr (talk) 17:21, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I agree - I'm working on it. Behemothing (talk) 03:57, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Reorganization

This article was a real mess - it jumped centuries, had no organization, contained false information, and repeated itself. I'm working on reorganizing and adding more complete information along with footnotes. I've reorganized the existing material, removed the redundant bits and will work on adding further citations. The history of Martinique is very important to both Caribbean and European scholarship, and I hope to make this article more readable and useful. Behemothing (talk) 03:57, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 1789-1794

Should'nt it be something about the history about the history betwen 1789 and 1794? That was a chaotic time in the history of the Island, with reviolutions and rebellions, which led to the British ockupation. I don't know any details, but it would be interesting to read! Now, the article just jumps over it. --85.226.235.178 (talk) 14:14, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bias?

This article reads like Britain generously gave away Martinique to France. Surely that wasn't the case. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.132.242.1 (talk) 12:49, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
