No mention of our glorious war with Missouri (The Honeytree War)?

Nor the James gang's first train robbery?

You left out all the fun stuff!

[edit] post 1950?

This article gives the impression that history stopped in Iowa circa 1950. I've never been there, but I doubt that is the case. The article could do with some recent history. Thryduulf 21:33, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

actually, the corn grows faster now than ever before. (new hybrids or global warming or whatever). Otherwise not much news. Rjensen 21:42, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Civil Rights Advancement

It might be worthwhile to include some info on Iowa's civil rights history, which is surprisingly trailblazing. Especially in light of the recent lawsuit that legalized same-sex marriage there... http://www.judicial.state.ia.us/Public_Information/Iowa_Courts_History/Civil_Rights/ 65.118.100.70 01:50, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Louisiana Purchase?

I'm pretty sure that Iowa was part of the Louisiana Purchase. It seems odd that it was left off of here - I checked LP on Wiki and it lists Iowa. So I think I will check back in a few days and change it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.12.65.93 (talk) 01:54, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
