Everton have not won more points than any other club in the English top flight, even assuming three points per game won.

It all depends on what type of points system you use. Using 3 points for a win overall would give Liverpool the title. Using the actual number of points won, which is discouraged as it places emphasis on success in more recent seasons, then Liverpool still hold the title. Using the original 2 points for a win system, gives Everton the title - but not by much. Steve Flanagan, statistician for ToffeeWeb

Thats strange because the top one has the same number of wins, but Everton have had more draws. Good aricle by the way, although the titles are a little long. Poiuytre 15:47, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
